I am at the point of installing darktable on either Linux or Windows 10 and would like insight about which platform makes more sense. On the Linux system, I have GIMP, Geeqie, Digikam, and Rapid Photo Downloader installed. I'm trying to migrate to FOSS as much as possible, but I expect I will need to use some non-FOSS as well. I have licenses for several Windows-only programs for photo work: Capture One v20, Affinity Photo, FastRawViewer, and Topaz DeNoise AI, so I intend to continue using Windows 10 for some of my photo-related work, at least until the programs I have are not current enough to be useful. Both systems have i7-9700 processors, 32GB of memory, and Nvidia graphics cards. One system is using Pop!_OS Linux and the other is using Windows 10. I just built two new systems that are nearly identical except for the operating systems.
